Cisco’s ACI Intent Based Networking Solution Coming To AWS Cloud Networking giant Cisco Systems will bring its Application Centric Infrastructure solution (ACI), to public cloud platforms, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), in a major extension program called ACI Anywhere. After the software-defined networking movement (SDN), which threatened Cisco’s hardware-based and proprietary dominance of the networking industry, ACI was introduced by the company. It renamed it “intent-based network” after that. ACI Anywhere allows ACI to be used on AWS and Microsoft Azure cloud platforms. The company stated that it delivers operational simplicity, application agility, and protection in the data centre — all delivered in an open approach that integrates seamlessly with all hypervisors or container frameworks on which applications can be deployed. ACI Anywhere extends ACI to any workload in any location and any cloud with ACI Anywhere. Virtual ACI supports remote edge locations and bare metal clouds. Cisco now has Cloud ACI capabilities that allow for automation, management and security to AWS, Microsoft Azure, and their Infrastructure as a Service environments.   • HyperFlex can now be extended to branch offices and remote locations in order to power applications at edge. Cisco HyperFlex solutions allow enterprises to deploy applications from the core to the edge and multicloud.
  • CloudCenter enhancements to assist customers in managing the lifecycle of their applications across multiple cloud environments. Cisco CloudCenter Suite simplifies multicloud administration with a single suite integrated modules for cloud management and ecosystem extensibility.
  • Customers can buy and manage technology across all data centers with a single Enterprise Agreement. This makes it much easier for them to do so.
